A great way to offer school-age children media that is screen-free is to look for podcasts for kids. There are many podcasts for kids that are available that offer interactive features or invite children to submit ideas or content in some way. One that is available through NPR that curious children might find interesting is “But Why?” which asks experts to answer children’s questions.
Goal: Children will use media as a resource
To search for activities in a specific age range or domain use the following age categories or domain name in the Find Out box or search box.
0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-24 months, 2 year olds, Preschoolers, School-age.
