This webinar was very insightful.
Development occurs within social and cultural contexts. As a caregiver it is important to remain focused on the child being responsive, flexible and nurturing. It’s equally important to document the different stages and ages of the children. At different stages in a child’s life he/she require different nurturing techniques. As an infant a child needs to be held, fed and cuddled. As a toddler they begin using words therefore they don’t need what an infant requires. They can communicate what they want and don’t want. An infant will cry to be fed verses a toddler will tell you.
As a childcare provider I am responsible for guiding the children, encouraging them to be positive and supportive of one other. It is also the duty of the Provider to communicate with Parents so that we are all on one accord in the social emotional progress of the child.
