The Power On, Power For, Power With was particularly interesting for me by Eve Trooks. The Power on especially engaged me in taking charge of situations when children do not agree or a child follows directions and has no choice or decision making pointers.

Privilege can be summarized on how we work with families and the differences and biases we must pay attention to as providers. Child care has a special environment an all inclusive, diverse environment enriched with learning from each other and ourselves.

There is a greater importance of making the child and his/her family feel welcoming by displaying diversity. This can be done through language and making them feel they belong. We must make children feel confident with their self identity to reach out to others. Children should be prepared with skills to be in a diverse society.
