We keep low tech toys/tools such as flash lights, cameras, binoculars, calculators, magnifying glasses, etc. out for daily use for all ages. These toys/tools are often incorporated in learning activities.

One of our favorite activities is opposites, light and dark. We incorporate different types of lights, lasers, flashlight projectors, etc. in October because we have a family that does not celebrate holidays.

We have high-tech toys/tools available as well. Because most of these toys/tools are more expensive and are not safe for all ages they are brought out regularly for activities and when requested by the children.

I’ve wanted to purchase a light table for some time. Making one of our own is a must for the near future!

I look forward to building Bristle and Scribble Bots with the older children as well. These look like a blast!
