It was very interesting to hear how other providers deal with stressful situations with family during transitions and changes in the home life. Also to hear how important it is to be flexible with schedules and allowing time for children to adjust when having a difficult time at drop off or pick up especially when there are changes that the child is not aware of.
Keeping in mind that children develop at different ages and stages allows for adaptions to activities and planning for individuals and for group projects.
I was also pleased to hear that children depend on that interaction between themselves, the care provider and with peers to develop meaningful relationships and a sense of security when away from parents.
