In section 1, I learned it is important to use open-ended material. It is also great to ask open-ended questions. When the children are playing with open-ended materials it is best to not give direction right away. Letting the child explore the material first helps their minds develop.

The developmental domains consist of social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Children develop at different rates, but they should be doing different things at each age. Things to expect at each age group:
2 years old:
not liking to play with other
3 years old
playing dress up
will play with others
likes to have a routine
4 years old
likes to play with others
likes to play make believe
5 years old
Wants friends
Can tell the difference between genders
like to dramatic play
6-7 years old
Care about what their friends think of them
